Hi I’m Candice. I’m a mum of three and I am passionate about supporting women with the challenges of life. Becoming a mum is just one of those challenges but it can be a pretty big one, and I believe us mums need all the help we can get. I live in Sydney and I love playing tennis, walking, going to the beach and trying to find time fo watch the latest Scandi Noir on SBS on Demand.
I’m a fully qualified, registered counsellor and I specialise in working with women. I have a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I am also a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
I aim to support mums with whatever challenges they may be facing. This can include:
– coping with the changes of pregnancy
– adjusting to parenthood
– developing a new identity as a mum
– relationship communication and difficulties
– general feelings of stress or being overwhelmed
– eating disorders and body image concerns
– career goals
– any other challenges life may be throwing your way
Above all, I am here to listen and my sessions are a safe space just for you, and an opportunity to explore what you are experiencing. Sometimes it can feel a bit better just to get things off your chest.
I offer online sessions to support mums across Australia, conducted in the comfort over your own home. I understand it can be hard to plan sessions and don’t want to create extra stress for you, so it’s OK if you need to have little ones around or with you during your time online. I have talked to mums while they have been holding their baby or even dialing in from the playpen.
