Hi! I’m Stephanie. A mother to an energetic little one, I’m a person that can bring high energy to the room when needed through singing, dancing, making a mess in the kitchen, sweating it out in the gym or pilates, and playing board games (often being a sore loser at that)!
But I also understand the importance of being still and calm – thriving on things like yoga, meditation, making art, and enjoying a warm quiet bath once my little one is asleep.
I believe that connection is at the centre of our lives. We as humans have an innate need to be connected. And so, whether this be connection between the mind and body, with our identity, or with our baby and the people around us, my work aims to support you to draw from and strengthen these connections.
I am a registered Psychologist having worked with parents, children, and their families/support networks for around 10 years. I gained my qualifications through a Masters in Psychology in 2015, and sought further training in dyadic relationship and attachment therapies. My approach involves the importance of healthy attachments and relationships, the mind-body connection, and is strengths and skills-based to promote long-term mental and emotional health.
As a Psychologist, I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and am working toward clinical registration through the AHPRA Clinical Registrar Program.
The Village Around Me is a private in-home psychology service offering one-on-one sessions with expectant, new mothers, or second, third (or more!) time mothers, and sessions with their village; couples, and families. We offer sessions via home visits or video telehealth.
A new mum myself, I understand the vulnerability that comes with pregnancy, birth, and beyond, and believe that maternal mental health and wellness is critical for:
Particularly in the third and fourth trimester, I believe in the importance of mothers feeling emotionally safe in their own environment to allow them space to express their challenges, and set meaningful therapeutic goals. So we offer in-home or telehealth psychology services that can support:

The Village Around Me is a private in-home psychology service offering one on one sessions with expectant and new mothers, and their village; partner and families. We offer sessions via home visits or video telehealth.
*Please note session costs can be subsidised by Medicare with a Mental Health Care Plan. Speak to your GP about accessing this.
At-home psychology service:
Take the worry out of leaving the home during the newborn period and have your session in the comfort of your own space. Home sessions are designed to allow the flexibility of attending to your newborn as need. The only thing we ask is that you choose a space that is as private as you would like. Outdoors is always welcome. If you prefer, book your session on a day that siblings are out of the house. This can allow you the mental space needed to make the most of your session.
In home psychology services are offered to those living within the Adelaide Metropolitan Area. Travel greater than 20km from Warradale (5046) may incur an additional charge. Please feel free to message me to discuss.
Whilst face to face sessions are the traditional way of doing things, if you are comfortable with technology, Telehealth sessions are a convenient way of meeting if you are in a rural location, or the time slots available don’t work for you. Some people prefer video or phone sessions and find they are able to relax and feel comfortable with their psychologist, especially if therapy is a new experience.
Good news: If you have a Mental Health Care Plan through your GP, you are still able to access this through Telehealth to subsidise the costs of sessions.
