Hi, I’m Ruby, a small business owner and mother of three (Louie, Pearl and Vincent), plus two dogs, a cat and four chooks! While my eldest two are at school, my youngest and I explore the local waterways, spotting birds and eating treats from our local bakery. I also make jewellery, crochet and love gardening.
I have a BA Hons (Film, Gender and Sociology) and am currently completing my studies as a Birth Doula. I have run my own business since 2012, facilitating workshops for community organisations, with the purpose of creating connection through many different art forms and providing a safe and inclusive space.
So much focus is placed on the pregnancy and birth, that many feel left to process their experiences on their own. I can’t wait to hear your birth story, in whatever capacity you are comfortable with sharing. Every birth story is unique, complex and beautiful in all its forms. There is so much to unpack and whether you feel elated from your experience or disappointed and let down, I am here to listen to your story with kindness and compassion.
I provide a safe and inclusive space for you during the post partum period to share and work through your experiences in changes of your physical, mental and emotional being. This may be in the form of a cuppa at your home, a walk in nature, learning to make yourself a special piece of jewellery or a virtual one-on-one meeting.
I offer face to face sessions in whatever capacity you feel most comfortable, whether that’s within your own home, outside in nature or via a secure virtual video link.
