Hi! I’m Amy. I am a mum of 3 little ones who keep me busy and make me laugh everyday! I am a lover of coffee and good food, in summer you will find me enjoying a day at the beach, and in winter with a good book in front of the fire.
I am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian who specialises in paediatric and women’s health.
After beginning my career at Western Hospital as a clinical Dietitian for a number of years, I moved to London where I commenced a specialisation in paediatric dietetics and health.
Through my own pregnancies, breastfeeding and motherhood experience, I developed an interest in supporting and treating women. I went on to complete additional graduate training in Fertility and Pregnancy Nutrition.
I am currently working with the Australian Breastfeeding Association on a Diploma of Breastfeeding Management. Helping mothers and parents with infant feeding and lactation is quickly becoming my most passionate area of practice.
With three gorgeous young children of my own, I often draw on my personal experiences which I feel makes me a compassionate health professional, fully aware of the challenges mothers and parents face when striving for their own health and that of their children.
Within paediatrics I have a particular interest in first foods and introduction to solids, ensuring nutritional adequacy and variety. I am also a qualified Feeding Therapist having trained in the internationally recognised SOS Approach to Feeding. I can help families with a range of feeding and eating challenges such as food fussiness, picky eating and problem feeders, food refusal, as well as growth and development concerns such as failure to thrive.
I can support the nutritional health and overall wellbeing of women who are trying to conceive, experiencing fertility challenges, pregnant or navigating the postpartum time.
I am located in Prahran, Melbourne. As a new mum, having an experienced and qualified health practitioner come to your home is a wonderful thing! I offer face to face appointments from the comfort of your home. I find this is a lovely way to get to know you and your baby in your own home environment. These consultations are relaxed and tailored to the patient’s needs, and really allows me to observe and understand feeding challenges and how best I can support you.
I also offer virtual zoom appointments or telehealth consults to anywhere in Australia.
